Writing from the mountains.

I’ve been a Southern California based writer for several years now. For most of my life I’ve been obsessed with the written word. From the earliest days when I was huddled under the covers reading long past my bed time to the more recent times when I’ve been able to amass a substantial library in my own home, books have spoken to me in a way that nothing else ever has. When a new career was in order I can’t say that I immediately jumped at the idea of becoming a writer, but after prompting from a few people (mainly my grandmother) I took a leap and fell full force into the writing world. That’s not to say I wasn’t already writing, even in childhood I was always putting pen to paper and had quite a few poems published in newspapers and anthologies. Now I write on a much larger scale from my home office amidst the beautiful mountains of the Los Padres National Forest. With my lively daughter, amazing husband, and two wiggly wiener dogs cheering me on I’m turning out the pages and loving my career as a writer and professional reader. In my free time I'm an avid hockey fan, tea drinker, messy housekeeper, Pinterest lover, culinary enthusiast, car and shower singer, toddler wrangler, and piano player who dresses on most days like its 1955.
